Grundy, Va. and Charleston, W.Va.: The Metallurgical Coal Producers Association released its lineup of speakers, agenda, and theme for its annual conference, which is set for September 26-28, 2021, at the Stonewall Resort in Roanoke, West Virginia.
“This year’s title for our conference, Met Coal: The Path Forward, reinforces the vision our founding members have for the industry,” said Ben Beakes, president of the MCPA. “Each has shifted production more toward metallurgical coal and formed the MCPA to highlight the opportunities steel-making coal brings to our region.”
This year’s conference attendees will gain insights from leaders in the steel and metallurgical coal industries as well as related markets. “The program lineup consists of the industry’s top leaders. From the mine to steel products, in one setting attendees will be exposed to the latest news and trends related to metallurgical coal and the products it makes possible,” said Beakes.
